  • Join us if you qualify in the following
    • Citizen of Sri Lanka
    • Retired service persons with an unblemished record in all forces including Police
    • Must have over 5 years of continuous service
    • Age below 45 years
    • Must be medically fit and free from the usage of drugs
    • Must be proficient in the English language
    • Height 5 feet 5 inches or above
  • Documentation requirements
    • Birth Certificate
    • Educational certificates
    • Certificate of retirement from the armed forces or the police force
    • Certificate of release from the armed forces and the police force
    • Certificate of Grama Seva Office
    • Certificate from the police of the area of residence

    Process

  • The applicant will be required to face an interview
  • Appear for a medical examination.
  • Upon completion of all requirements a contract will be awarded for one year of employment with a mandatory contractual agreement.
  • The service could be extended after one year for another year subjected to the recommendations of the Board of Interview.
  • The following will be taken in to consideration for extension of service after one year.
    • Good attendance
    • Efficiency in use of fire arms
    • Recommendation of the Board of Interviews
    • Medical fitness
    • Good conduct
    • Security clearance from the National Intelligence Services.

    Training and Development

  • Our training is focused on developing and sustaining the talent of our team members in performing with extreme discipline & efficiency.
  • Five core types of training are offered which include:
    • Basic training
    • On the job training
    • Refresher training
    • Specialized training
    • Training for post of Supervisors, Officers in Charge, Managers and the Administrative Staff
  • A workshop of 06 hours duration will be conducted for all security officers male and female every month.
  • Fire fighting and arms training will be conducted at the places of service.
  • Annual firing of weapons will be conducted at the ranges detailed by the Ministry of defence. Only those who pass the fire armscompetency examination will be employed in the fire arms unit.
